Welcome to SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 Project!

What is a sustainable lifestyle? // What will a sustainable future mean for the way we live, move, and consume? // How do we know if our lifestyles are sustainable or not? // How can our aspirations for life and well-being improvements be enabled sustainably (within one planet)?

These are some of the underlying questions driving the SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 European social platform project. SPREAD scenarios on future sustainable lifestyles 2050 are now available

The SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 project has finalized the development of four future scenarios of possible societies to overcome challenges of current unsustainable lifestyles. Exchanges with design experts at Cumulus conference in Helsinki: Upcoming SPREAD expert workshop

During the Cumulus Conference in Helsinki a SPREAD expert workshop will be hosted on 24 May 2012 in cooperation with the DESIS network (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) to reflect on the scenarios for sustainable lifestyles in 2050 developed by SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050.

SPREAD infographic available: Understanding Sustainable Lifestyles in the EU. Today’s Facts & Tomorrow’s Trends

On the basis of the SPREAD baseline report and some additional research, an infographic has been created as a visual tool for understanding sustainable lifestyles in Europe. It highlights the connections between EU lifestyle impacts, behaviour drivers, infrastructure enablers and promising practices.
